Dairy
WSUβs Knott Dairy is a fully operating dairy that supports teaching, providing the milk used to make Cougar Gold Cheese and Ferdinandβs ice cream. In total, the dairy manages around 350 animals, including 180 lactating cows, dry cows, and developing heifers.

The Farm Shop crew maintains and repairs equipment used across the department and provides custom fabrication services to support Animal Sciences operations.

Feed Plant
The Feed Plant mixes raw ingredients to produce a variety of specialty feeds that support livestock across the Department of Animal Sciences. These custom-blended rations are formulated for the nutritional needs of cattle, swine, and other animals housed at WSUβs research and teaching facilities.

Veterinary and Biomedical Research Building (VBR)
The Veterinary and Biomedical Research Building (VBR) hosts research laboratories and offices supporting biomedical sciences. It houses the laboratories of Drs. Davenport, Phelps, Du, Jiang, and Seekford, supporting a broad range of ongoing research programs within the Department of Animal Sciences.
