Dairy

WSU’s Knott Dairy is a fully operating dairy that supports teaching, providing the milk used to make Cougar Gold Cheese and Ferdinand’s ice cream. In total, the dairy manages around 350 animals, including 180 lactating cows, dry cows, and developing heifers.

Feed Plant

The Feed Plant mixes raw ingredients to produce a variety of specialty feeds that support livestock across the Department of Animal Sciences. These custom-blended rations are formulated for the nutritional needs of cattle, swine, and other animals housed at WSU’s research and teaching facilities.

Veterinary and Biomedical Research Building (VBR)

The Veterinary and Biomedical Research Building (VBR) hosts research laboratories and offices supporting biomedical sciences. It houses the laboratories of Drs.
