  • We’re hiring – Knott Dairy Operations Manager The Cattle Operations Manager is responsible for the management of the Department of Animal Sciences cow/calf herd (Beef Center), the feedlot (Cattle Feeding Lab) and meat sales (WSU Premium Beef). The manager is responsible for planning, timing and directing personnel resources and facilities for major cow-calf herd and feedlot events (calving, breeding, nutrition and feeding, health care, forage utilization, pasture grazing schedules, livestock sales) and to meet the needs of the WSU Premium Beef program. This position coordinates resources, time and facility issues, communication and organizational issues to coordinate multiple research, extension, and class usages. Additionally, the manager teaches classes as assigned by the departmental chair. The Cattle Operations Manager is an important representative of the Department of Animal Sciences and WSU to the beef cattle industry.
