Winning continues at Fort Worth for WSU meat judging team

After a championship performance at the National Western just two weeks ago, the WSU meat judging team also claimed Champion Team honors in the A-division intercollegiate meat judging contest at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo on January 30th.  The team took division championship honors for the Lamb Judging and Questions divisions.  Multiple individual team members experienced success at the contest, which are highlighted below. The team will next compete at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in early March and the National Meat Animal Evaluation Contest in late March.  The team is coached by Animal Sciences faculty member Dr. Blake Foraker.

Bailey Sherley: 2nd High Individual, 2nd Beef Judging, 5th Pork Judging, 5th Placings, 1st Questions
