I am originally from Mexico City, Mexico.
I chose Washington State University because of its strong Animal Sciences program and the opportunity to work on applied research in dairy cattle reproduction. I was especially interested in contributing to research that addresses real-world challenges in livestock health and productivity.
My primary area of study is animal reproduction, focusing on reproductive physiology and health in dairy cattle. My research specifically looks at conditions such as retained placenta, metritis, endometritis, and repeat breeder (DNB) cows, and how these disorders affect fertility.
The best part has been being part of a collaborative and supportive community. Working with mentors, faculty, and fellow students who are passionate about animal science has helped me grow both academically and professionally.
Not at this time, but I am continuously working toward achieving recognition through my research and academic efforts.
Not yet, but my research focuses on understanding how reproductive disorders such as retained placenta, metritis, endometritis, and repeat breeding modify the endometrial environment, with the goal of improving reproductive efficiency in dairy cattle.
