What inspired you to pursue graduate studies in Animal Sciences at Washington State University?

The research opportunities in animal genetics and the warm welcome from WSU faculty and students finalized my decision to attend the WSU Animal Sciences graduate program.

What is your primary area of study or research focus?

Livestock genetics and genomics

What has been the most rewarding aspect of being part of the Animal Sciences community?

The depth of knowledge of people around me; I’m constantly learning!

Were you nominated and or awarded any special awards or recognition?

I was recently recognized as Animal Sciences Outstanding Masters Student this spring!

Have you published any peer-reviewed manuscripts or key research findings?

I’m preparing manuscripts centered on genetics and epigenetics of the bovine placenta, so stay tuned!
